Shade Protocol Q3, 2023 Update
Greetings community,
In this blog post we will outline Shade Protocol initiatives currently under development or fully completed. It’s been a busy month since the launch of Shade staking at the end of July with significant progress on multiple fronts tied to accessibility & product development.
Completed
The following is a list of accomplishments thus far in Q3, 2023:
- Final airdrop released
- Airdrop clawback has begun (August 1st - December 1st)
- Starshell Mobile support
- Fina Mobile support
- ALTER pool live on ShadeSwap
- stkd-SCRT SILK vault expanded
- SILK x USK pool
- Real Yield activation
- MantaDAO liquidity deal
- MetaMask support
Support for mobile is a huge step forward for Shade Protocol - a large % of users prefer mobile over desktop experiences. Now you can interact with ShadeSwap and check in on SILK from the palm of your hand.
The expansion and reach of earning opportunities within Shade's #PrivateDeFi ecosystem continues.

In Development
The following is a list of objectives currently under development:
- Portfolio, Bonds, & Lend mobile support
- dSHD
- Liquidity Orderbook
- Card Tab on Shade App
- Coingecko support via API migration
- Addition of new ShadeLend vaults
- Support for Picasso bridge / Polkadot assets
A variety of other objectives have not cleared the threshold to be considered as in development, but rest assured there are a variety of other exciting initiatives that are soon to be added to the above list.
Conclusion
Shade Protocol is an ambitious array of application-layer products focused on a simple end user experience that involves the incorporation of privacy by default. These interconnected privacy-preserving DeFi products built on Secret Network will change DeFi as we know it — empowering the next generation of value creation and exchange.
Without privacy, DeFi is incomplete. Traditional financial markets offer a degree of privacy for users, and as a result offer up greater protections in some capacity than existing DeFi markets. Shade Protocol will be the world’s first truly cohesive decentralized and privacy-preserving financial applications — ushering in a golden era for Web3. Shade Protocol will always push for privacy by default, privacy as an expectation, and privacy as the key to unlocking the full value of a decentralized future.
